Hi, I’m Kristin, owner and professional dog trainer at Breaking Bad Dog Training.

 

Breaking Bad Dog Training began in Rhode Island in 2021, shortly after I became certified through the International School for Certified Dog Trainers (ISCDT). What started as a passion for helping dogs and their families grew into a business centered on creating calmer homes and stronger relationships. I continue to grow as a trainer through ongoing education with CATCH Canine Trainers Academy.

 

As a military family, home sometimes changes when duty calls. When my husband received new orders, we packed up our lives in Rhode Island and began a new chapter in Georgia. Relocating meant rebuilding my business in a new community, but my purpose remained the same: helping dogs and their families better understand one another. I’m now proud to serve families throughout West Georgia.

 

As a mom of two with a pack of three dogs, I understand the realities of managing a busy household. I know how meaningful it is to have dogs who can be included in family life and bring more connection and joy into the home, not added stress.

 

Positive reinforcement is the foundation of my training and the primary way I teach new behaviors. Every training plan is tailored to the individual dog using clear communication, structure, and consistent guidance. When appropriate, training tools may be introduced on a case-by-case basis to strengthen skills around real-life distractions. All methods are explained openly and used only with the owner’s consent. My goal is lasting communication and reliable real-life skills, not dependence on equipment.

 

My focus is helping everyday pet dogs succeed at home and in the community. I’ve helped hundreds of owners and their dogs work through everything from foundational manners and communication challenges to fear, reactivity, and more complex behavioral concerns.

 

My experience also includes preparing shelter dogs for adoptive homes and helping prospective service dogs develop obedience, handler focus, neutrality, and appropriate public behavior. Task-specific service training is referred to a qualified specialist.

 

My goal is simple: to help create calmer homes, stronger relationships, and happier lives for dogs and their families.
